Office Visits: The first and all subsequent office visits and phone consults are billed at a rate of $100.00 per hour. Initial office visits are scheduled for 60 minutes. Return office visits and phone consults are scheduled for 30 minutes, except for special circumstances. Health topics research and advocacy services are billed at the same hourly rate.
House Calls: House calls are available at the patient’s home or other designated location if the patient is medically unable to come in to the office. Please note that in addition to the $100.00 per hour consultation rate, round trip travel will be additionally charged at a rate of $0.50/mile, added to the total bill.
Payment: Payment of the entire balance is due at the time of service, prior to the beginning of the office visit. CASH AND CHECKS ONLY are accepted at the present time. There is a $40.00 returned check fee. If your check is returned, you promise and guarantee payment to me in cash or by money order ($40.00 plus the fee for the office consultation) within one week of notification and you will not be seen for any additional office visits until the balance is paid in full. Patients will not carry a balance with me because it interferes with the therapeutic relationship.
No Show/Late Cancellation: The scheduled time for your appointment has been reserved specifically for you without interruption. Except for emergency situations, if you miss or fail to cancel a scheduled appointment without giving me 24 hours notice, you will be charged an $80.00 no show/late cancellation fee that must be paid before another appointment will be made for you.
• Because I make every attempt to stay on schedule, if you are late for your appointment, you will only been seen for the remainder of your scheduled time, though YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE ENTIRE TIME SLOT SCHEDULED FOR YOU, unless you call ahead to tell me that you will be late and there is room in the schedule to adjust your appointment time.
• If you are 15 minutes or more late for your office visit, you will not be seen that day, even for the remainder of your scheduled visit, and you will need to pay the No Show/Late Cancellation fee prior to rescheduling.
Phone Consultation: Phone consultations in lieu of an actual office visit are available for established patients only and must be scheduled and paid in advance, for a minimum of 30 minutes ($50.00).
• I will briefly call established patients periodically to check on their progress and would not charge you for that time. Neither do I charge the patient if they may need to call me for a brief clarification regarding their ongoing treatment plan. My rule of thumb is that there is a 5 minute free phone consult maximum before phone consultation charges will begin to be applied at my regular rate ($25.00 per 15 minutes). I will inform you during the call when charges will begin to be applied.
*Please note that if you are calling about a new symptom or health concern that was not previously addressed in our sessions, these situations will be treated as a consultation and fees will be charged accordingly.
